Connect PayPal
PayPal is configured entirely per brand — each brand has its own PayPal Business app and credentials. There’s nothing to set up on the Integrations page; that card simply points you to Brands.
Unlike other processors, PayPal disputes aren’t pushed to DisputeDash by webhook — they’re pulled on a schedule, plus you can sync on demand. There’s no webhook to register.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”From your PayPal Developer dashboard, for the brand’s PayPal Business account:
- Client ID
- Client secret
- Whether it’s Live or Sandbox
Connect a brand
Section titled “Connect a brand”- Go to Brands → Connections for the brand.
- Add a PayPal processor account.
- Enter the Client ID and Client secret, and choose Live or Sandbox.
- Save.
On save, DisputeDash automatically starts a background bulk import of your open PayPal disputes. They’ll appear under Disputes within a few minutes.
Syncing and verifying
Section titled “Syncing and verifying”The PayPal account offers a few manual controls:
- Sync — pull the latest disputes now instead of waiting for the next scheduled poll.
- Bulk import — pull all currently-open disputes (also runs automatically on connect).
- Verify merchant — confirm the PayPal merchant ID is correct.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Because disputes are polled rather than pushed, there’s a short delay between a dispute opening on PayPal and it appearing in DisputeDash.
- Some PayPal disputes aren’t eligible for an evidence submission (based on their status at PayPal). Those cases will show as such rather than being fought.
